Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Metro
Start by taking the Cairo Metro Line 1 (the red line) towards Helwan. Ride the train until you reach the 'El Sayeda Zeinab' station, which is about 10 stops from the start. Once you arrive at El Sayeda Zeinab station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located just outside the metro station.
Bus
From the bus stop outside El Sayeda Zeinab Metro station, board any bus heading towards Giza. Specifically, look for buses that say 'Giza' or 'Badrshein' on the front. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Stay alert as you approach the Giza area, and ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach Badrshein.
Walking
Once you arrive in Badrshein, disembark the bus and ask for directions to 'Pyramid of Djoser Rd.' Walk straight ahead on the main road for about 500 meters. You will see the entrance to the Imhotep Museum on your left, marked clearly. The museum is situated near the Pyramid of Djoser.
