Getting There

• Metro

  If you are near a Metro station, take the Metro Line 1 (the red line) towards El Marg. Get off at the 'Dar El-Salam' station. From there, exit the station and head southeast on El-Salam Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Shawqi Street. Take a left onto Shawqi Street and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach St. Simon The Tanner Monastery, which will be on your left.

  Look for a bus stop near you and catch a bus heading towards 'Ain Shams' or 'Maadi'. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach the 'El Khalifa' area. Once you get off the bus, walk towards Shawqi Street and head north. Continue on Shawqi Street for about 15 minutes; St. Simon The Tanner Monastery will be on your right.
