    From San Salvador's Terminal de Oriente, take bus 119 towards Chalatenango. Get off 2km beyond Aguilares; ask the driver to let you off at the ruins. The bus ride is approximately 1.5 hours. From the drop-off point, it's a 900m walk to the site. The bus fare is approximately $1-2. Alternatively, take bus route 125 from San Salvador to Aguilares. These buses depart from Terminal de Occidente and cost around $1. From Aguilares, you can walk to Parque Arqueológico Cihuatán (about 20 minutes) or take a local taxi for approximately $2.

  • Car

    If traveling by car from Santa Ana, take the CA-1 northeast towards San Salvador. After approximately 30 kilometers, exit onto the CA-9 towards Aguilares. Continue on CA-9 for about 15 kilometers until you reach Aguilares. Follow the signs directing you to Parque Arqueológico Cihuatán, located just outside the town. Parking is available on-site for a small fee, usually around $1.
