Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Narva or the city of Kohtla-Järve. Head west on the E20 highway towards Saka. Continue driving for approximately 30-40 minutes, until you reach the Saka exit. Follow the signs to Saka, and then take a left turn onto the local road leading to Ontika. The Ontika matkarada parking area is located near the entrance to the hiking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Ontika matkarada by public transport, take a bus from either Narva or Kohtla-Järve to Saka. Buses operate regularly, and the journey will take about 1 hour. Upon arrival in Saka, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach the Ontika matkarada. Follow the local road signs towards Ontika, and you will find the entrance to the hiking area. Be sure to check the latest bus schedules in advance to ensure a smooth trip.
Walking
If you are close to the Saka area, you can walk to Ontika matkarada. From the center of Saka, head towards the coastline, following the signs. The walk is about 1.5 km and will take approximately 20-30 minutes on foot, offering beautiful views along the way. Ensure you have appropriate footwear, as some paths may be uneven.
