Getting There

    Start from the Võru City Center, specifically near the Võru Bus Station (Võru bussijaam). From the bus station, head south on Kaubamaja street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jüri Üdi street. Turn left onto Jüri Üdi street and follow it until you reach the traffic circle. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto Tartu street (Tartu maantee). Walk along Tartu street for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach the Old Railway Bridge (Vana Raudtee Sild), cross the bridge and continue straight. After crossing the bridge, the road will lead you into Kirumpää village. Continue on this road for another 2 kilometers until you see the signs for Kirumpää piiskopilinnuse varemed, which will be on your left-hand side. The ruins are easily visible from the road.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the Võru City Center, near the Võru Bus Station. Head south on Kaubamaja street, then take a left onto Jüri Üdi street. Continue straight until you reach the traffic circle and take the second exit onto Tartu street. Follow Tartu street for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Old Railway Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight into Kirumpää village. The route is about 5 kilometers total and should take around 15-20 minutes by bike.
