The drive will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will need to pay an entrance fee to the park, which is around 100 Ethiopian Birr. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for dirt roads, as some sections may be rough.

To reach Harashetan crater lake via public transportation, take a minibus or shared taxi from the nearest town, which is Awash Town. The minibus taxi will take you to the park entrance. Once there, you will need to negotiate a ride with a local taxi or a guide who is familiar with the area to get to the crater lake itself. Expect to pay around 200-300 Ethiopian Birr for the taxi once you are inside the park. The journey from Awash Town to the park entrance takes about 40 minutes, and then it’s an additional 30 minutes to the crater lake.
