From the main entrance of Awash National Park, head southeast on the main road. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction near the Awash River. Take a left at the junction and follow the road for another 15 kilometers. You will see a sign indicating the direction to Hayu Kenteri Dam. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers, and you will arrive at the dam. Make sure to have a map or GPS enabled, as the road conditions can vary.

To reach Hayu Kenteri Dam via public transportation, first take a minibus from the main bus station in Awash Town towards Kora W Hararghe. Inform the driver of your destination, Hayu Kenteri Dam.
