Start at the Dire Dawa Railway Station. From there, head northeast on 3rd Street towards 1st Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 4th Street. Turn left onto 4th Street and continue until you reach the main road, known as the Harla Road. Cross the road and follow the signs towards Harla. After about 2 km, you will come across a sign indicating Ejeru River. Follow the path that leads towards the river, which should take about 30 minutes of walking from the main road.

From the center of Dire Dawa, take a minibus (known locally as a 'bajaj') that is heading towards Harla. You can find these minibuses near the Dire Dawa Stadium.
