Getting There

    If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Mago National Park. Head north on the park road towards Jinka. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will reach a fork. Take the right fork towards the southern part of the park. Continue driving for about 15 kilometers until you see a trailhead marked for Senegal Mountain. The last portion of the drive is unpaved and may require a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season.

    To use public transportation, find a local minibus or shared taxi heading towards Jinka from the nearest town. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at the Senegal Mountain trailhead. The fare is typically around 50 Ethiopian Birr.
