Car
From Yabello town, head east on the main road towards Madaccio. The sanctuary entrance is approximately 17 km east of Yabello. Roads can vary in condition, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. There may be an obligatory stop at the park office in Yabelo town. As of July 2025, expect to pay an entrance fee of 150 Birr per person. Camping costs 50 Birr, and a car is also 50 Birr. Hiring a scout is compulsory and costs 200 Birr per day per group.

From the local bus station in Yabello, take a bus or minibus heading towards Madaccio. The fare is approximately 50 Ethiopian Birr. Inform the driver that you are going to Yabello Sanctuary. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes. From Madaccio, it may be necessary to walk a short distance to the sanctuary entrance.
