    Getting There

    Driving

    From Vágar Airport, drive west on Route 22 towards Sørvágur. In Sørvágur, follow Route 45 towards Gásadalur. Drive through the one-lane Gásadalstunnilin tunnel (ensure headlights are on). After exiting the tunnel, continue a short distance to Gásadalur. Parking is available on the side of the road near a sheep farm just before entering the village. From there, it's a short walk to the viewpoint.

    Public Transport

    From Tórshavn or Vágar Airport, take bus route 300 to Sørvágur. In Sørvágur, transfer to bus route 350 to Gásadalur. The bus journey from Sørvágur to Gásadalur takes approximately 7 minutes. Disembark at the last stop in Gásadalur and walk towards the village center, following signs to the Sunset Viewpoint, about a 15-minute walk uphill. A single bus fare within the Vágar island area costs approximately 20 DKK.

    Walking

    For a challenging but rewarding experience, hike the old village path from Bøur to Gásadalur. The route starts about 3 kilometers west of Bøur and is approximately 3.5 kilometers long, taking around 2.5 hours. Be prepared for steep and rugged terrain, especially on the descent to Gásadalur. From Gásadalur, follow the path to the Sunset Viewpoint. Note that there is limited parking in Bøur, so parking in Gásadalur and walking to the trail is recommended.
