Walking
From the center of Strendur, head south towards the main road (Road 30). Follow the path along the coast, enjoying the scenic views of the fjord. Continue walking on the path that leads towards Syðrugøta, which is approximately 2.5 km away. Once you reach Syðrugøta, look for the sign pointing towards Gøtusandur, which is located at Syðrugøta 513. The beach is easily accessible from the road.
Public Transport
Start at the bus stop in Strendur. Take the bus towards Syðrugøta; the bus service is operated by the local transport company. The journey should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Syðrugøta bus stop, disembark and walk towards Syðrugøta 513. Follow the signs to Gøtusandur, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
