If you are driving, start from the main town of Sørvágur, which is centrally located on Vágar Island. Head north on Route 61 towards the village of Miðvágur. After about 5 minutes, take a slight right onto Route 62, heading towards the direction of the airport. Continue along Route 62 for approximately 15 minutes until you reach a turnoff on your left that leads to Hvannhagi. Follow this road until you reach the parking area near the hiking trail to Hvannhagi. Parking is free.

To reach Hvannhagi using public transportation, take a bus from Sørvágur. The bus service operates periodically, so check the local timetable for the most accurate schedule. Board the bus that heads towards Miðvágur and ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to the hiking trail for Hvannhagi.
