Getting There

    From Rovaniemi, drive northeast on Road 81 (Rovaniemi-Posio-Kuusamo road) for approximately 80 km. Turn onto Auttikönkääntie road (a gravel-surfaced road) and continue for 1.2 km to reach the Auttiköngäs parking area. Parking is free and available for approximately 25 cars and 5 buses. Note that the road to the parking area is usually maintained during winter.

    From the Rovaniemi bus station, take a bus towards Posio or Kuusamo. Check the schedules for the most up-to-date information. The bus should stop at the Auttiköngäs intersection on Road 81.
