Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Mikkeli city center and head southeast on the E18 highway. Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the exit for Mikkeli/Kotka (Route 5). Take this exit and follow Route 5 for about 15 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Saimaa Geopark. Once you reach the Unnamed Road (Unnamed road, 52100 Mikkeli), turn left and follow this road for 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Kaarnavuori Overhanging Cliff. There is parking available near the site.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, take a bus from Mikkeli to the nearest stop to Saimaa Geopark. Check the local bus schedules for routes heading towards the destination. Buses typically leave from Mikkeli Central Bus Station. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop, you may need to walk about 3 kilometers to reach Kaarnavuori Overhanging Cliff. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time as they may not run frequently. Alternatively, consider using a taxi service from Mikkeli to the location, which will be more direct but will incur additional costs.

• Bicycle

  If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Mikkeli and take the scenic route to Kaarnavuori Overhanging Cliff. From Mikkeli city center, head southeast towards the E18 highway and then follow the same route as if driving.
