Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Helsinki Central Railway Station, head southeast on Kaivokatu toward the Esplandi Park. Continue straight onto the Esplanade, enjoying the beautiful scenery. Once you reach the end of the park, turn left onto Eteläesplanadi. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Mikonkatu, where you will turn right. Walk straight until you come to the waterfront on the Market Square (Kauppatori). From the square, walk along the waterfront towards the east until you see the Presidential Palace, located at Mariankatu 2. The building is easily recognizable and situated right by the water.

Public Transport
From the Helsinki Central Railway Station, take Tram 3 from the 'Rautatieasema' tram stop. Ride the tram for approximately 5 stops until you reach 'Kauppatori' (Market Square). Once you disembark, walk toward the waterfront and head east along the coast. The Presidential Palace will be directly ahead at Mariankatu 2. This tram route offers a picturesque view of the city center and the waterfront.

If you are at Senate Square, start by walking south to the waterfront. After reaching the waterfront, head east along the shoreline. Follow the path along the water, and you will soon see the Presidential Palace at Mariankatu 2. This route takes you through some lovely views of the harbor and is an enjoyable walk for taking photos.

Public Transport
From the Kamppi Center, take Metro Line M1 or M2 towards the east. Get off at the 'Rautatientori' stop. From there, walk to the 'Rautatieasema' tram stop and catch Tram 3 towards 'Kauppatori'. After approximately 5 stops, get off at 'Kauppatori'. Walk east along the waterfront, and you will find the Presidential Palace at Mariankatu 2. This route will take you through the heart of Helsinki, showcasing key sights along the way.
