Brinkkala Mansion: A Glimpse into Turku's Rich History

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Turku via the E18 highway. Once you reach the Turku exit, follow signs for the city center. As you approach the city, you will take the exit toward 'Turku Keskusta'. Continue driving straight until you reach the intersection with 'Aurakatu'. Turn left onto Aurakatu and continue until you reach the 'Vanha Suurtori' square. Brinkkala Mansion is located at Vanha Suurtori 3, just off the square. There are parking options available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around €2-3 per hour.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, first check the local bus schedules to find a route that takes you to 'Turku Keskusta'. Buses from various cities in Varsinais-Suomi frequently arrive at the Turku bus terminal. From the bus terminal, it's a short walk to Brinkkala Mansion. Head towards the city center, and follow the signs for 'Vanha Suurtori', which is approximately a 10-minute walk (around 800 meters). Make sure to validate your bus ticket before boarding, as fines for not having a valid ticket can be steep, usually around €80.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, Turku has a network of bike paths. You can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops or use the city’s bike-sharing system. Navigate towards the city center by following signs for 'Kaupunkipyörä', which indicates bike routes. Once you reach Vanha Suurtori, you will find bike racks available for parking your bicycle. Note that wearing a helmet is recommended and cycling on sidewalks is prohibited.
