To reach Deerfield Island Park from Fort Lauderdale, start by heading to the nearest bus stop. If you're near the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, you can catch the Broward County Transit Bus Route 1, heading north. You will need to transfer to Route 10 at the Fort Lauderdale station. Take Route 10 northbound towards Deerfield Beach. Once you arrive at the Deerfield Beach station, walk east on NE 1st St, then turn right on SE 10th Ave and head south until you reach Riverview Rd. Turn left and walk until you see the entrance to Deerfield Island Park on your right.

Water Taxi
If you're near the Fort Lauderdale Beach area, consider taking the Water Taxi. Board the Water Taxi at one of the designated stops along the Intracoastal Waterway. Stay on the taxi until you reach the stop at Hillsboro Boulevard. From there, disembark and walk north on SE 10th Ave towards Riverview Rd. Turn left on Riverview Rd and continue until you see Deerfield Island Park on your left.

Bicycle Rental
For a more active approach, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Fort Lauderdale. Once you have your bike, head north on A1A to connect with the local bike routes. Follow the bike lanes heading toward Deerfield Beach. Continue on the bike path until you reach Hillsboro Blvd, then turn left. Follow Hillsboro Blvd to the intersection with SE 10th Ave, turn right, and then left onto Riverview Rd. The entrance to Deerfield Island Park will be on your right.

If you're nearby in Deerfield Beach, walking is a great option. Start at the Deerfield Beach Pier located at 149 SE 21st Ave. Head west on SE 21st Ave toward NE 2nd St. Turn right on NE 2nd St, and walk until you hit SE 10th Ave, then turn left. Continue walking until you reach Riverview Rd, then turn right. Follow Riverview Rd until you see Deerfield Island Park on your left.
