Walking
If you are starting from the Fort Lauderdale Beach area, head east on Las Olas Boulevard toward the Intracoastal Waterway. Cross the bridge and continue straight on Las Olas Boulevard, which will turn into SW 2nd Avenue. Follow SW 2nd Avenue for about 1.5 miles until you reach 219 SW 2nd Ave. The Fort Lauderdale Historical Society will be on your right. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.

Public Transit - Bus
From the Fort Lauderdale Beach area, walk to the nearest bus stop on A1A and Las Olas Boulevard. Take the Broward County Transit bus route 11 (heading towards Downtown Fort Lauderdale). Ride the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop at SW 2nd Avenue and SW 2nd Street. Walk 2 blocks south to reach the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society at 219 SW 2nd Ave.

If you are renting a bike, start at the Fort Lauderdale Beach area and head west on Las Olas Boulevard. Continue until you reach the intersection with SW 2nd Avenue.
