Walking
If you are at Fort Lauderdale Beach, start by heading north along the beachfront promenade. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Sunrise Boulevard. Cross over to the north side of Sunrise Boulevard, and you will see the entrance to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park directly across the street at 3109 E Sunrise Blvd. It’s a short walk of approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on your starting point on the beach.

For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops along Fort Lauderdale Beach. Once you have your bike, head north along the beach until you reach Sunrise Boulevard. Turn left (west) on Sunrise Boulevard and ride approximately 0.5 miles. The entrance to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park will be on your right at 3109 E Sunrise Blvd. Remember to park your bike at the designated bike racks at the park entrance.
