The primary access to Locmaria Beach is via ferry to Groix Island. Ferries operate year-round from Lorient, with additional seasonal services from Port-Louis and Lomener. From the ferry terminal at Port-Tudy, Locmaria is approximately a 10-minute drive or a 30-minute walk. Ferry tickets from Lorient to Groix cost around €20 for a round trip. It's advisable to book tickets in advance, especially during peak season. Upon arrival at Port-Tudy, you can take the local bus (Line 1) towards Locmaria. A single bus fare is approximately €2. Alternatively, taxis are available at the port for around €15-€20 to Locmaria. Walking from Port-Tudy to Locmaria is a scenic option, following the D190 road, and then turning left onto the D20 towards Locmaria. Note that parking in Locmaria can be limited, especially during the summer.

From the Locmaria bus stop or the village center, Locmaria Beach is a short, easy walk. Follow the signs towards 'La Plage' (The Beach). The path leads directly to the beach, passing by local shops and restaurants. The walk is mostly flat and takes about 5-10 minutes. There are no tolls or special access fees required to reach the beach itself.
