It later transformed into the first cinema in Limoges, reflecting its evolving role in the community.In 1989, the building was renovated and reborn as the Théâtre de l'Union, becoming a Centre Dramatique National (CDN). CDNs are a network of theaters responsible for producing, co-producing, and sharing theatrical works with the widest possible audience. The Théâtre de l'Union distinguishes itself through its commitment to contemporary creation, actively supporting the artists it produces and co-produces. The theater includes workshops for set and costume design, as well as various spaces dedicated to artistic creation.Today, the Théâtre de l'Union continues to be a driving force in the region's cultural landscape, under the direction of Aurélie Van Den Daele.
