Walking
From the center of Nîmes (Place de la République), head southeast towards Rue de la République. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the train station (Gare de Nîmes). Once there, take the train to Avignon. The train ride is approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Avignon TGV station, exit and look for the local bus stop. Take bus number 1 in the direction of 'Avignon Centre'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Place de l'Horloge' stop. From there, walk about 10 minutes northeast along Rue de la République until you reach Hotel De La Préfecture at 84000 Avignon.
