Getting there

Walking

If you are starting from Strasbourg's city center, head towards Place Kléber. From there, take Rue de la Mésange, which leads you directly to the canal. Walk along the canal until you reach Ponts Couverts, the iconic covered bridges. Continue straight until you see the Barrage Vauban on your left at Place du Qur Blanc. It's a short and scenic walk, taking approximately 15-20 minutes.

Tram

From the Strasbourg train station (Gare de Strasbourg), take tram line A (direction Illkirch Lixenbuhl) or line D (direction Kehl). Get off at the stop 'Homme de Fer.' From there, transfer to tram line C (direction Neuhof) and get off at 'Arrêt Bourse.' After exiting the tram, walk towards the canal and follow the path along the water for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Barrage Vauban at Place du Qur Blanc.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations in the city. Start from Place de la République and head towards the canal. Follow the bike paths along the canal, which will take you directly to Barrage Vauban. This route is pleasant and takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace.
