Walking
From the Château de Versailles, exit the palace grounds and head towards the main entrance. Once outside, turn right onto Avenue de Paris. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Place de la République. Continue on Avenue de Paris until you see the intersection with Rue de la Pompadour. Cross the street and continue straight. After a short walk, you will reach Place de Breteuil. Look for the prominent monuments in the square.
Public Transport - Bus
From the Versailles Rive Gauche train station, walk towards the bus stop located directly outside the station. Take Bus Line 171 towards 'La Verrière'. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes, and get off at the 'Place de Breteuil' stop. From there, the square will be right in front of you.
Public Transport - Train
From the Versailles Rive Droite train station, take the Transilien Train Line L towards 'Paris Saint Lazare'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Paris Montparnasse' station. Transfer to Metro Line 6 (the green line) towards 'Charles de Gaulle - Étoile'. Ride for 5 stops and get off at 'La Motte-Picquet - Grenelle' station. From there, walk along Rue de la Croix-Nivert until you reach Place de Breteuil.
