Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Château de Versailles, exit the main gates and walk straight down Avenue de Paris towards the city center. Continue walking until you reach Place du Marché, where you will find the local market. From there, head east on Rue de la Paroisse until you reach Rue de Satory. Turn left on Rue de Satory and continue until you reach the intersection with Rue du Général Leclerc. At the intersection, turn right, and then take a left onto Avenue de Saint-Cloud, which leads directly to the RER train station at Versailles-Château Rive Gauche. Once you arrive at the station, board the RER C train towards Paris. It will take approximately 30 minutes to reach your destination. Get off at the Gare d'Austerlitz station, and from there, you can walk to Pl. de la Bastille, which is approximately a 15-minute walk.

    Start from the Château de Versailles and walk to the Versailles Rive Droite train station, which is about a 15-minute walk. Once you arrive at the station, purchase a ticket for the train heading towards Paris Saint-Lazare. After about 20 minutes, you will arrive at Paris Saint-Lazare station. From there, transfer to Metro Line 3 (the yellow line) at the station. Take the Metro towards Gallieni and get off at the République station. From République, transfer to Metro Line 5 (the orange line) towards Place d'Italie. Get off at the next stop, which is Bastille. Upon exiting the station, you will find yourself at Pl. de la Bastille.
