Getting There

  • Car

    From Mtskheta, head east on the M1 highway towards Tbilisi. Continue driving for about 50 km until you reach the junction for the S3 highway (signs will direct you towards Kazbegi). Take the S3 highway and follow it for approximately 30 km. You will see signs for Gudauri. As you approach Gudauri, look for Block 1, office 114, New Gudauri, which is located near the Vartsla Mountain area. Parking is available nearby.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Gudauri via public transportation, first take a marshrutka (minibus) from Mtskheta to Tbilisi. You can find these marshrutkas at the Mtskheta bus station. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs around 1 GEL. Once in Tbilisi, head to the Didube bus station and catch a marshrutka headed to Gudauri. This ride will take around 2 hours and cost approximately 10-15 GEL. Ask the driver to drop you off at New Gudauri, where you'll find Block 1, office 114, Vartsla Mountain.

  • Taxi

    For a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Mtskheta to Gudauri. This can be arranged through your hotel or by using a local taxi app. The trip will take about 1.5 hours and cost around 80-100 GEL, depending on the taxi service.
