Getting there

Car

If you are driving from the center of Baden-Baden, start by heading southwest on Kaiserstraße/B500. Continue on B500 until you reach the intersection with Alter Schloßweg. Turn left onto Alter Schloßweg, and follow the road up the hill. You will find parking available near the castle entrance. Please be aware that parking may incur a fee, typically around €2 per hour.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, you can take bus line 204 from the Baden-Baden bus station (Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof) towards Ebersteinburg. Get off at the stop 'Hohenbaden' which is about a 15-minute ride. From the bus stop, it is a short walk up Alter Schloßweg to reach Hohenbaden Castle. Make sure to check the bus schedule as services may vary, and a single ticket costs approximately €2.50.

Walking

For the more adventurous, you can walk to Hohenbaden Castle from the city center. Start at Kurhaus Baden-Baden and head southeast on Leopoldstraße. Continue walking until you reach the entrance to Lichtentaler Allee park. Follow the path that leads into the hills. The hike will take approximately 30-40 minutes and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the trail can be steep in places.
