Travel Guide to Carlsplatz Markt

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), head east on Domstraße toward Kurt-Hackenberg-Platz. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Rhine River. From there, you can walk along the riverbank heading north. After approximately 15 minutes, you will arrive at the central train station (Köln Hauptbahnhof). From here, take a regional train (RE or S-Bahn) toward Düsseldorf. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head west. Walk straight along Worringer Straße, which will eventually turn into Graf-Adolf-Straße. Continue walking until you reach Carlsplatz Markt, which will be on your left.

• Public Transport (Train)

  From any subway station in Cologne, make your way to Köln Hauptbahnhof (Cologne Central Station). Board a train heading towards Düsseldorf. Trains such as the RE or S-Bahn are frequent and will take you to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof in about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, follow the signs to exit the station. Once outside, walk straight along Worringer Straße until it transitions into Graf-Adolf-Straße. Continue walking until you reach Carlsplatz Markt on your left side.

• Bus

  If you are near a bus stop, look for the bus service that goes to Düsseldorf. Most buses will take you to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof. The journey may take approximately 45-60 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, exit the bus and follow Worringer Straße until it becomes Graf-Adolf-Straße. Keep walking straight until you see Carlsplatz Markt on your left.
