From Cologne, take the S-Bahn (S6 or S11) from Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) towards Düsseldorf. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Disembark at Düsseldorf Central Station (Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof). Once there, follow the signs to the U-Bahn station.

At Düsseldorf Central Station, take U-Bahn line U74, U76, or U77 towards 'Bilk' and get off at 'Oststraße' station. This will take approximately 5 minutes.

After exiting the U-Bahn at Oststraße, head south on Oststraße towards Immermannstraße. Turn left onto Immermannstraße and continue walking straight until you reach Ständehausstraße. Turn right onto Ständehausstraße, and you will find the Kunstsammlung on your left at number 1. The total walking time is about 10 minutes.
