Public Transport - Tram
Start your journey at Essen Hauptbahnhof (Essen Central Station). From there, take Tram Line 107 towards 'Gelsenkirchen Buerer Str.' and get off at the stop 'Zollverein'. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs towards UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein. It's a short 5-minute walk from the tram stop to the Kokerei entrance.
Public Transport - Bus
From Essen Hauptbahnhof, you can also take Bus Line 177 towards 'Zollverein'. Alight at the stop 'Zollverein', which takes approximately 20 minutes. After getting off the bus, follow the signs to the UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein, which is a short walk from the bus stop to Kokerei.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Essen, specifically from the Kennedyplatz. Head northeast on Gladbecker Strasse towards the Zollverein area. The distance is about 3.5 km and will take around 40-50 minutes on foot. Follow the signs for Zollverein, and you will arrive at Kokerei, located at UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein, Areal C.
