If you are starting from the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station), head to the U-Bahn (subway) station located beneath the train station. Take the U5 line towards 'Preungesheim'. After 6 stops, get off at 'Zoo' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs pointing towards the zoo, which is only a short walk away. You will see the entrance to Zoo Frankfurt at Bernhard-Grzimek-Allee 1.

From Römer (the historic town hall), head northeast towards the Main River, then continue along the riverbank until you reach the bridge 'Eiserner Steg'. Cross the bridge, then turn left onto Berger Strasse. Follow this street until it turns into Bernhard-Grzimek-Allee. The zoo will be on your left after a few minutes of walking.
