From Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take bus line 25 towards 'Schlump' and get off at the stop 'Alsterdorfer Straße'. From there, walk towards the Alster Lakes for about 10 minutes. You will see the lakes on your left.

Take the U2 line from 'Hauptbahnhof' in the direction of 'Niendorf Nord'. Change at 'Schlump' station to the U3 line towards 'Barmbek'. Get off at 'Barmbek' and take bus line 25 towards 'Eimsbüttel'. Get off at 'Alsterdorfer Straße', then walk about 10 minutes to reach the Alster Lakes.

If you are near the Hamburg City Hall (Rathaus), you can walk to the Alster Lakes. Head northeast on 'Rathausmarkt' towards 'Bergstraße', continue on 'Bergstraße', then turn left onto 'Ballindamm'. Follow the path along the Alster River, and you will reach the Alster Lakes in about 20 minutes.
