Public Transport
From Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the S-Bahn (S1, S2, or S3) towards Altona or Blankenese. Get off at the Hamburg Landungsbrücken station. Exit the station and walk towards the waterfront. Follow the signs to the Landungsbrücken piers, from where you can enjoy views of the Elbe river. Continue walking along the waterfront, and you will eventually reach the Mönkedamm channel, which is located in the Hamburg-Mitte district. A single ride HVV ticket costs approximately €3.50.

From the Rathausmarkt (City Hall Square), walk east along Mönckebergstraße. Turn left onto the first street, then turn right onto the street that runs along the canal. The Mönkedamm channel will be on your left. The walk is approximately 10 minutes.
