Getting There

  • Train

    From Koblenz Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take a regional train (RE) towards Bingen am Rhein. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Trechtingshausen train station. From there, it's about a 20-minute uphill walk to Burg Rheinstein. Follow the signs for 'Burg Rheinstein' as you make your way up the hill.

    From Koblenz, take bus line 314 in the direction of Bingen. The bus should take approximately 40 minutes to reach Trechtingshausen. Get off at the 'Trechtingshausen' stop. From there, follow the pedestrian path signs leading to Burg Rheinstein. It’s a short, but steep walk of about 15 minutes up to the castle.
