By Car
If you are driving, head towards the town of Schneverdingen. From the center of Lüneburg Heath, take the B209 towards Schneverdingen. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit towards Schneverdingen. Continue on Lüneburger Str. and follow the signs to Der Höpen, which is located at 29640 Schneverdingen. There is parking available near the entrance to the hiking area.

By Public Transportation
To reach Der Höpen using public transport, start at the nearest train station in Lüneburg Heath. Take a train towards Hamburg and get off at the Schneverdingen station. From there, you can take bus line 150 towards Bispingen and get off at the 'Höpen' bus stop. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. After disembarking, it is a short walk (around 10 minutes) to the entrance of Der Höpen.

Once you get off at the 'Höpen' bus stop, head southeast on Höpenstraße. Continue straight for about 800 meters where you will see signs leading to Der Höpen. The area is well-marked, and the scenic path will guide you through the beautiful landscapes of Lüneburg Heath.
