Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main square, Hauptmarkt, head towards the north along Spitalgasse. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where you'll find the impressive St. Sebaldus Church. Turn left onto Sebaldsplatz, and then take a right on Burgstraße. Follow Burgstraße as it winds uphill. The Imperial Castle of Nuremberg will be visible as you approach. The entrance is located at Burg 17, 90403 Nürnberg.

    If you are further away in Altstadt, you can take the bus line 36 from the nearest stop, which may vary depending on your location. Board the bus towards 'Burg' and disembark at the stop named 'Burg'. From there, it’s a short walk up the hill to the castle entrance at Burg 17.
