By Car
From anywhere in the Rhine Valley, head towards the A81 motorway. If you're coming from Rüdesheim am Rhein, take the B42 towards Bingen am Rhein, then merge onto the A60 towards Basel. Continue on A60 until you reach the A5 interchange. Take the A5 south towards Basel and follow the signs to A3 towards Schaffhausen. Exit at Neuhausen am Rheinfall (exit 13) and follow the signs to Rhine Falls. Parking is available nearby but may incur a fee (approximately CHF 10 for a full day).
By Train
Start by taking a train from any station in the Rhine Valley to Schaffhausen, which is well-connected via regional trains. Once you arrive at Schaffhausen station, transfer to the local train service (S-Bahn) towards Neuhausen am Rheinfall. The journey from Schaffhausen to Neuhausen takes about 10 minutes. After arriving at Neuhausen am Rheinfall station, follow the signs to Rhine Falls, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. Train tickets can range from CHF 10-15 depending on your starting location.
By Bus
If you prefer bus travel, check the local bus schedules for routes heading to Neuhausen am Rheinfall. Buses from nearby towns such as Schaffhausen and Winterthur run regularly. Once you arrive at the Neuhausen am Rheinfall bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to the falls. Bus fares typically range from CHF 5-10 depending on your distance traveled.
