Getting there

Bus

From the main train station (Würzburg Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and locate the bus stop in front of the station. Take bus line 14 in the direction of 'Veitshöchheim' or 'Zellerau'. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. You should get off at the 'Schloss Veitshöchheim' bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the castle.

Train

Walk to the nearby Würzburg Würzburger Straße station, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the main train station. From there, take a regional train (RB or RE) towards 'Würzburg' and get off at 'Veitshöchheim' station. The train journey takes around 10 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs leading to Schloss Veitshöchheim, which is about a 15-minute walk from the station.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Würzburg. Head towards the Main River and follow the cycling path along the river towards Veitshöchheim. The ride is approximately 7 kilometers and will take around 25-30 minutes. The route is scenic and will take you directly to the vicinity of Schloss Veitshöchheim.

Walking

For those who enjoy walking, you can take a leisurely stroll from the city center of Würzburg to Schloss Veitshöchheim. Start from the Market Square (Marktplatz) and head north towards the Main River. Follow the path along the river, which will lead you directly to Veitshöchheim.
