Car
From Zugspitze, take B2 towards Ehrwald. After approximately 10 km, follow the signs for Ehrwald. Once in Ehrwald, navigate to Obermoos 8. There should be ample parking near Alte Zollhütte. Note that parking may incur a fee, typically around €5 for the day.
Public Transportation
Start at the Zugspitze station and take the Zugspitzbahn train to Ehrwald. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs approximately €12. Once in Ehrwald, you can either walk to Alte Zollhütte, which is about a 30-minute walk (2.5 km) from the station, or take a local taxi, which should cost around €10-15.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Ehrwald to Alte Zollhütte, exit the train station and head south towards Obermoos. Follow the signposts for the hiking trails leading to Alte Zollhütte. The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water, as the walk may take around 30 minutes.
