Car
If you're driving from Amedzofe, start by heading southwest on the main road out of the village. Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction, where the road splits. Take the left fork, which will lead you towards Mount Afadja. Follow the road for another 2 kilometers, and you will see signs directing you to the Mount Afadja trailhead. There is a parking area available at the trailhead where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
To reach Mount Afadja via public transport, first take a shared taxi or trotro from Amedzofe to the nearest town that offers connection to the trailhead. You can catch a trotro from the main market area in Amedzofe to Afadjato, which should cost around 2 GHS. After arriving in Afadjato, you'll need to hire a local taxi or walk to the Mount Afadja trailhead, which is about 3 kilometers away. Hiring a taxi may cost around 10-15 GHS depending on negotiation.
Walking
If you enjoy hiking and have the energy, you can walk from the center of Amedzofe to Mount Afadja. Start by heading southwest on the main road, then follow the signs towards the mountain. The walk is approximately 7 kilometers and may take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water. The path will take you through beautiful scenery and local villages.
