Walking
Start from the Cape Coast Castle, a popular landmark in the city. Head east on Castle Road towards the beach. Continue walking along the beach until you reach the main road, which is called the 'Beach Road.' Turn left onto Beach Road and walk for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Beach Road. After about 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Fosu Lagoon on your right. Follow the path leading towards the lagoon, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the main road.
Public Transport (Trotro)
From the Cape Coast Central Market, look for a trotro heading to Elmina. Board the trotro and inform the driver you wish to get off at the Fosu Lagoon stop. The journey should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, walk back for about 100 meters until you see the entrance to Fosu Lagoon on your left. Follow the path to reach the lagoon.
Bicycle
If you rent a bicycle in Cape Coast, start from the Cape Coast Castle. Head east along Castle Road towards the beach, then turn left onto Beach Road. Cycle along Beach Road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit to remain on Beach Road. After a short distance, look for the sign for Fosu Lagoon on your right. Park your bike at the entrance and walk the remaining distance to the lagoon.
