Getting there

Walking

If you are starting from the Cape Coast Castle, exit the castle grounds and head east on the main road (Castle Road). Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with the main highway (George Bush Highway). Turn right onto the highway and follow it for about 1 kilometer until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the University of Cape Coast road. Continue straight, passing the University of Cape Coast East Gate on your left. After about 500 meters, you will see the Centre For National Culture on your right. The Summer Palace Hotel is located behind this center, so head towards the back until you find the entrance.

Taxi or Moto Taxi

If you prefer to take a taxi or a moto taxi, you can easily find one near popular spots like the Cape Coast Castle or the local markets. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Summer Palace Hotel, behind the Centre For National Culture, opposite University of Cape Coast East Gate.' Make sure to confirm the price before starting your journey. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

Public Transport

To reach the Summer Palace Hotel by public transport, you can catch a shared taxi (tro-tro) from any of the local transport stations in Cape Coast heading towards the University of Cape Coast. Inform the conductor to drop you off at the East Gate of the university. Once you alight, walk towards the Centre For National Culture, which is directly across the street.
