Car
From Kintampo, head northwest on the N10 highway. Continue on the N10 for about 26 km until you reach a junction where you will see signs pointing towards Afadjato. Turn left onto the road leading to Afadjato (this will be a dirt road). Drive for about 5 km until you reach the base of Mount Afadjato. There is ample parking available before you begin your hike.
Public Transportation
To reach Mount Afadjato from Kintampo using public transportation, take a shared taxi or trotro from Kintampo to the nearby town of Trohwe. The fare is typically around 3-5 GHS. Once in Trohwe, you may need to hire a local taxi or walk to the base of Mount Afadjato, which is approximately 3 km away. If you choose to walk, follow the dirt road that leads directly towards the mountain; it should take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach the base.
