If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Akosombo, which is a popular town near Lake Volta. Head southeast on the Akosombo-Dambai road (also known as the N2 road). Continue on this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to Danau. Turn left at the junction and follow the signs towards Danau. The last stretch is about 5 kilometers, where you will find Danau Volta located at GXP7+733. The total distance from Akosombo is about 25 kilometers.

Public Transportation
To reach Danau Volta using public transportation, you can take a trotro (shared minibus) from Akosombo to Dambai. Look for a trotro heading towards Dambai at the local station in Akosombo. The fare is around 5 GHS. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Dambai, you will need to hire a taxi or local motorbike taxi (okada) to cover the remaining distance to Danau Volta, which is about 10 kilometers. Negotiate the fare for the taxi or okada, which should range from 10-15 GHS.
