From the beach area of Catalan Bay, head towards the main road that runs along the bay. Turn left onto the main road and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the road leading uphill. Take the right turn onto the road that leads uphill towards the Rock. As you ascend, follow the path signs indicating Middle Hill Battery. The route is well-marked and you will pass several scenic viewpoints. Continue until you reach Rock Gun Road, where Middle Hill Battery is located. The battery will be on your left.
Walking
Alternatively, if you're near the eastern end of Catalan Bay, look for a pathway that leads up the hillside. This path will connect to the main road mentioned earlier. Follow this path upwards, where it will merge into the main road leading to Rock Gun Road. Keep an eye out for directional signs for Middle Hill Battery as you walk. This route may be a bit steeper but offers a more direct ascent.
