    Start at the central square of Alexandroupoli, known as Dimokratias Square. From there, head south towards the waterfront promenade, known as the 'Paralia'. Walk along the promenade until you reach the intersection with 14th May Street. Turn left onto 14th May Street and continue walking straight until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto 25th March Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the main road, Egnatia Odos. Turn right onto Egnatia Odos and follow the road until you see signs for the Church of the Prophet Elias. The church is located on the hillside, and you will need to walk up a short steep path to reach it. The total walking distance is approximately 2.5 kilometers and should take about 30 minutes.

    From the central bus station in Alexandroupoli, take bus number 1 towards the 'Kavala' route. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Pavlos Melas' stop. From there, walk back towards the previous intersection and follow 14th May Street until the roundabout.
