Melissani Cave Lake, also known as the Cave of the Nymphs, is a captivating natural wonder located near Karavomilos on the island of Kefalonia, Greece. This unique geological phenomenon features a partially collapsed cave roof, creating a stunning opening that allows sunlight to stream in and illuminate the crystal-clear, turquoise waters of the underground lake.The cave's history is intertwined with Greek mythology, with legends claiming it was once a sacred place dedicated to the god Pan and the nymph Melissani.
