Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the central Syntagma Square in Nafplio, head southeast on Vasileos Konstantinou Street. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach the waterfront promenade, known as the 'Nafplio Waterfront'. Turn left and follow the promenade along the water. After approximately 800 meters, you will see the Bourtzi Fortress situated on an islet in the bay. To reach the fortress, you will need to take a small boat from the nearby dock, which is located just a short walk past the end of the promenade.

If you're starting from the Archaeological Museum of Nafplio, exit the museum and head southwest on Vasileos Konstantinou Street. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront promenade. Board one of the small boats that frequent the area to take you to the fortress.
