Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Naxos Town (Chora). Head south on the main road towards Apiranthos. Continue straight for about 10 km until you reach the intersection at Melanes. Turn right towards Melanes and follow the signs for Kalamitsia. The drive should take approximately 20 minutes. Once you reach Kalamitsia, look for parking areas nearby, as parking can be limited.

Public Transportation

To reach Kalamitsia using public transportation, take a bus from Naxos Town (Chora) towards Apiranthos. Buses depart regularly, and the fare is around €2.50 per person. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Melanes, which is about a 20-minute ride. Once you arrive at Melanes, you can walk to Kalamitsia, which is around 1 km away. Follow the signs towards Kalamitsia, and the walk should take approximately 15 minutes.

Taxi

For a more convenient option, consider taking a taxi from Naxos Town directly to Kalamitsia. The taxi ride will take around 20 minutes and should cost between €15 to €25 depending on traffic and time of day. This is a great option if you have luggage or prefer not to navigate public transport.
